On 28 May 2023, students from Sonargaon University proudly represented the institution at the 6th International e-Conference on Business, Artificial Intelligence & Nano Technology (ICBAINT-2023) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mamun Mia, Meherunnesa Mumu, and Khan Shariya Hasan Upoma, representing the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), jointly presented their research paper titled "Rural Farmers' Behavior towards the Intention to Use Artificial Intelligence in Agricultural Ecosystems."
The research explored the factors influencing rural farmers' intention to adopt and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) within agricultural ecosystems, addressing the intersection of emerging technology, agriculture, and rural development. By focusing on the potential application of AI in the agricultural sector, the study demonstrated the students' ability to investigate technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
The research team worked under the supervision and coordination of Mohammad Rashed Hasan Polas, Lecturer (DBA) and Researcher (CRTC), Sonargaon University. Their participation in an international conference provided valuable exposure to the global academic and research community while highlighting the university's commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research, innovation, and the practical application of emerging technologies.
