The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Sonargaon University, successfully organized the Programming Contest as one of the flagship competitions of SU CSE FEST 2025. The contest brought together 60 enthusiastic participants who competed in an intensive 2.5-hour coding challenge, solving algorithmic and programming problems under strict time constraints. The event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their logical reasoning, coding proficiency, and problem-solving abilities in a competitive environment.
The competition featured a carefully designed problem set prepared by Parthoraj Deb, Senior Software Engineer at 24, Uruguay and Technical Screener at Toptal, USA, who also served as the judge of the contest. His industry experience and thoughtfully crafted problems challenged participants to apply advanced programming concepts and analytical thinking throughout the competition.
At the conclusion of the contest, K. Sajjad Hossen (32A1) was crowned Champion, while Md. Kaosar Ahmed (9C) secured the First Runner-up position and Md. Mahmidul Hasan (30A3) became the Second Runner-up. Afrin Jahan Laboni (32A3) received the Best Female Programmer Award in recognition of her outstanding performance. The winners were honored during the Prize Giving Ceremony with prizes, crests, and certificates. The Programming Contest was a remarkable success, reflecting the growing culture of competitive programming within the department and inspiring students to further strengthen their programming and problem-solving skills.
