The Sonargaon University Programming Club (SUPC) proudly participated in the National Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition 2025, organized by the Cyber Security Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Daffodil International University, under the banner of DIU CyberCon 2025. The online qualifying round, held on 18 October 2025, featured an intensive 8-hour Jeopardy-style cybersecurity competition, where participants demonstrated their expertise in web exploitation, cryptography, digital forensics, reverse engineering, networking, and other cybersecurity domains.
Representing Sonargaon University, three teams competed in the national qualifier and delivered outstanding performances. Among them, "Pirates of the Dead Flag" achieved an impressive 10th place with 2,220 points, earning a place among the Top 35 teams in Bangladesh and successfully qualifying for the Final Onsite Round, scheduled to be held on 25 October 2025 at Daffodil International University. The remaining teams also performed commendably, with "R3TURN_0;" securing 50th place and "Dead Flag on Pyhacnet" finishing in 68th place, reflecting the growing strength of Sonargaon University students in competitive cybersecurity.
